Nowadays everything is becoming digitalised where we are
experiencing the takeover of technology. As muslims we should try and take
advantage of this and see how we can utilise the use of technology for our
deen. A simple digital salah time can be very effective and more importantly
very useful for any masjid. The idea behind this project is to make it easier for
the local masjid to manage the daily salah times and for the local musalli’s to
view the salah times with ease. This project is fee sabillah and may
Allah swt reward everyone who is involved.
"Surely the Salah at fixed hours (of the day and
night) has been enjoined upon the believers." (Quran 4:103)
"Abdullah asked the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)
"Which deed is the dearest to Allah?" He replied, "To offer the
prayers at their early stated fixed times." (Sahih al-Bukhari 527)
Basic Requirements You would need access to the Internet. A monitor or TV Screen (upto 50inch). The display has been tested on 24", 27",
32" and 50". I recommend 32". A PC.
Accessing the page Once we have imported the salah times into
that database we will send you the link of the screen page. The format should
be portrait and should fill the screen once you use the “full screen” method or
by pressing “F11”. An example link would be https://hayyalasalah.co.uk/Screen_nmc_sw16/. The standard zoom size on a large screen should be 75%. Iphone users must set their zoom setting to 85%.
Management of the Salah times Once the page has been setup we provide you full access to your
salah times table where you can edit the salah times on the fly. We use a
freeware tool that gives you full visibility and management of the data which
you provided. The link will be provided once the screen is ready.
Very clean looking and easy to read, colour scheme is good and does not get in the way of us praying salah. Some applications can be distracting but this one doesnt. On behalf of our management and musalli's, we would like to say Jazak Allah Khair for our digital time table.
